Powdery mildew: Erysiphe polygoni and Leveillula taurica

Symptoms:

  • It usually appears late in the season.  Powdery white growth can be seen on both the surfaces of the leaves.  It also appears on above ground plant parts.

Management:

  • The disease is controlled by dusting inorganic sulphur at 25 kg/ha or spraying Wettable sulphur 0.25 per cent at 20 days interval.
